Head Start Program (3 to 5 years)

Head Start is a pre-kindergarten program that prepares children for a successful school experience. This hands-on classroom experience runs four half days per week. Head Start offers:
    • Certified teachers and education assistants
    • The professional services of a Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist and a Chartered Psychologist which include assessments and services on-site
    • A nutritious snack each day
    • Parent education, support and resources
    • Community referrals as required
Free to eligible children, based on family income or meeting the Alberta Education qualifications for funding. Families enrolled in Head Start must reside in the City of St. Albert.
