Children's Programs (Children up to 5 years)

A variety of fun-filled and educational programs are available for children in their infant, toddler or preschool years. These programs are offered in our Early Learning Center, or as an interactive parent / child course.

Programs include:
    • Discover & Learn: - This program is for members only. Children enjoy two hours of planned activities in our Early Learning Center. Our staff will model and teach age appropriate social skills and offer fun experiences for your child to enjoy. Of course, there’s always time set aside for free play which is a necessity for all curious and energetic children! While the children take part in this program, parents get some free time.

    • Creative Kids: The activities in this program follow a theme-based approach to learning. Children's favorite topics are planned for with an importance on early literacy, science discovery, pre-mathematic games, as well as fun in sand, water, block and imaginary play. The theme for each class is incorporated into the above early learning curriculum areas.

    • Parent & Tots: This is a great opportunity for parents and their children to enjoy our Early Learning Center. Both have an occasion to meet new friends and play in a comfortable and secure environment. The center-based play setting introduces children to activities that promote growth and development. Activities are planned specifically for parent / child interaction time.

    • Parent / Child Interactive Programs: A variety of early childhood programs are available for both parents and children to enjoy together. These programs are typically 4 weeks in duration and are for infants to children five years in age. Programs are tailored to provide music, movement, physical activity, early literacy, arts and crafts, cooking, etc.

    • Special Events – Parents’ Place hosts a number of special events through out the year.
      • The annual Halloween party is for members only. Families with children birth to five years of age are invited to take part in many “spooky” activities. It’s a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween!
      • The annual Lots for Tots resource fair is held in January and brings together a number of agencies that provide services for children between the ages of birth to five years. Some agencies include; pre-schools, music programs, day cares, gymnastics clubs and many more.
      • The Teddy Bears’ Picnic is for families with children who are toddlers to five years of age. This fun summer event has lot’s to offer lil’ ones as they ride on ponies, visit a petting zoo, explore fire trucks and play games.
